The Western Area ASA of PA tournament staff has met and due to popular demand we will offer for the 2012 Season in the 14 & Under Division the option of a 40 Foot Division as well as a 43 Foot Division, that is correct we will offer as a division of play 40 & 43 Foot pitching distances. The entry forms are being update as follows:
14U 40 Feet
14U 43 Feet
This will give each team the opportunity to choose which distance they wish to compete at, these will be separate divisions we will not pitch from two different distances in the same game.
Also, effective the 2013 Season Western Area ASA of PA will pitch from 43 Feet in the 14 & Under Division !!!

State Championship: The Western Area has been awarded the 10 & 12U Fast Pitch ASA of PA State Championships with all participating teams qualifying for the Eastern National Championships as well as the TOP 3 spots in qualifying for the ASA/USA National Championships.
Penn-Ohio Classic: In conjunction with Ohio ASA, we will be hosting the "Penn-Ohio Classic" which will be open to Ohio & Pennsylvania ASA teams only, with the HIGHEST placing PA. and the HIGHEST placing OHIO team being awarded a direct berth to the ASA/USA National Championships, this tournament will be in the 14U age divisions and Ohio ASA will be hosting the 10 & 12U age division.
